Reflecting Pool Counseling
Reflection, Healing, and Growth for Women.
You don’t have to do it alone.
Welcome to Reflecting Pool Counseling
We are a psychotherapy practice dedicated to supporting women navigating disordered eating, body image concerns, and their relationship with food. We provide a safe, compassionate, and clinically grounded space where women can heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
Seeking support can feel vulnerable. Our intention is to create a welcoming, authentic, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. We believe women deserve spaces where they can speak openly, process deeply, and receive care that honors both their lived experience and their goals for change.
Our work is rooted in self-compassion-focused care, helping women move beyond shame and harsh self-judgment toward a more balanced and sustainable relationship with food, body, and self. We understand that eating and body struggles are complex — shaped by culture, trauma, perfectionism, stress, and personal history — and we approach this work with both clinical expertise and deep respect for the courage it takes to engage in it.
In addition to individual therapy, we offer group programs, comprehensive eating disorder assessments, and clinical supervision for developing clinicians who are passionate about this specialty area. Our mission is to expand access to thoughtful, ethical, and specialized care for women at every stage of healing.
We invite you to explore the website to learn more about our services and approach. If you feel we may be a good fit, you are welcome to schedule a complimentary 15-minute video consultation to discuss how we can support you.
You deserve care that truly sees and honors your experience. We would be honored to walk alongside you.
Services
Individual Therapy
Specialized telehealth therapy for adult women navigating eating disorders, emotional eating, and body image distress. This HAES-aligned, weight-inclusive practice also addresses anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout, with a focus on healing the relationship with food and body through self-compassion and sustainable, non-diet care.
Group Therapy
Do you find yourself turning toward or away from food to cope with stress or difficult emotions? The women’s group helps you understand the emotional roots of restriction, bingeing, and disordered eating. Through guided discussion and psychoeducation, you’ll learn healthier, more compassionate coping skills.
Case Consultation
Jennifer offers eating disorder consultation for therapists, physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals seeking support with complex cases. Consultation includes case conceptualization, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-informed treatment planning for disordered eating, binge eating, restrictive patterns, and body image concerns.
Eating Disorder Assessment
An eating disorder assessment is a comprehensive evaluation to clarify your relationship with food, body image, and eating behaviors. The assessment screens for a full range of eating disorders and related patterns, including restriction, bingeing, purging, and compulsive exercise.
Supervision
I offer clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers in Oregon and North Carolina who are working toward independent licensure. I am a Certified Clinical Supervisor with both state regulatory boards and am approved to provide supervision hours toward licensure requirements.
Inclusivity & Affirmation Statement
At Reflecting Pool Counseling, we are committed to cultivating a compassionate, affirming, and inclusive space for all women. Our practice supports the mental health of women, including transgender women and non-binary individuals who align with the experience of womanhood.
We recognize that healing does not occur in isolation. It is shaped by identity, culture, family systems, lived experience, and social context. We are committed to honoring and valuing the diverse backgrounds of those we serve, including individuals of all racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We acknowledge the impact of systemic oppression, discrimination, and marginalization on mental health and on one’s relationship with food and body. Our approach is rooted in respect, cultural humility, and ongoing learning. Here, you will be met with understanding and care that affirms your full identity — not just as a client, but as a whole person.
Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment where you can explore your relationship with yourself, your body, and your emotions without fear of judgment.
If our services are not the right fit for your needs, we are committed to helping you connect with other affirming providers and appropriate resources in the community.
